The story of Kylie's birth into this world without all the gross details.  At about 34 weeks I started to have contractions at night.  I called the hospital and they told me to drink about two liters of water as fast as I could and if they contractions went away that I was fine and that if I could go to sleep then I should.  Well I had to be to work the next day so I was going to go to sleep but I ended up getting up every five mintues because of all that water.  The next day at work the contractions started again after I got myself all worked up and mad at someone and the contractions started again.  Amos rushed to from his work area and took me to the hospital where the nurse told me I was having good contractions but they were too early.  (I still think Kylie would have been fine but then again she would have been Makayla Cheyenne or Makayla Paige because we had never even thought of Kylie yet).  They put me on some fluids and some medication to stop the contractions and it worked.  The docs then put me on bed rest for what turned out to be two weeks.  On 15 Apr 2002 Grandpa Trout arrived for his visit with Amos and I but a few hours before he landed I started to get scared because Kylie was not moving as much as I thought she should be.  Off to the hospital we went.  Everything turned out fine and they sent me home with instructions to come in the next day.  That night we went out to eat and as the bill was being paid I thought my water broke.  I was not sure though since there was no big 'gush' and waited to see.  When I went to the hospital the next day I told the nurse that I thought my water had broke and she did a test.  She told me yes that it had broke.  I was scared because I did not even have a bag packed.  The doc came in and did the same test again because the one the nurse did was just not 'good enough' for him.  He told me no my water was still intact and that I was to go to work the next day.  (this doc was dead set on the fact that Kylie was going to be born on her due date and no sooner-her orginal due date was 28 Apr 2002...he was the doc that changed it to the 8 of May)  That night I was still leaking and finally called the hospital and told them as much.  They told me to come in (with a slight attitude) and did the same test but this time they said yes my water had broken and admitted me.  In the morning they put me on antibodies and potosin.  In the afternoon they came in and really broke my water or what was left of it...and I went into back labor and told the doc to give me some drugs.  Amos told me that I hung in for a while but I think he just told me that to make me feel better.  It felt like 4 hours but it might have been an hour if I was lucky. They gave me the epidural and then my contractions basically stopped.  They warned me that I would probably have a c-section but I kept my hopes up.  Grandpa and Amos went to go get something to eat and the doc came in and told me I was going to have to have a c-section.  When he left I prayed and prayed that this was not going to happen to me.  I was so scared from all the tv shows I had seen where the mother dies.  I never got it back together but held a tough face.  From the time the doc told me and the time that Kylie was born it was about an hour.  I laugh because the docs asked me if I wanted to see her when she came out and I said yes and as soon as I saw her I said thank God they cannot put her on my chest...gross wash that child off.  I was listening for that cry though.  And that is the long story of her birth that took two weeks.
